THE ICON PAINTER'S APARTMENTS
“The Iconpainter’s Apartments” are in a sleepy quarter of the picturesque village of Koroni. From the very stylish studios that form The Iconpainter’s Apartments, everything is within walking distance.
The apartments have been sympathetically created from an original Venetian Villa. The house is traditional whitewash with blue shutters. It has a tranquil, private courtyard where visitors can relax and listen to the gentle sound of the little fountain trickling into the small plunge pool.
There are four apartments all of which are stylish in theirfurnishings and fully equipped for your every need. Each studio has a living and dining space. There is a fold down sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, shower room and outside space.
The upstairs studios have a balcony to the rear where our guests can sunbathe or dine and a little balcony to the front with wonderful views over the harbour to the mountains beyond. The décor is clean and bright. Blues and whites are prevalent and there are lovely wooden floors.
The studios below are very similar but they have terracota tiled floors. They do not have a front balcony but have the benefit of the spacious courtyard in which to sunbathe or sit by the little pool, dine or just relax.
All of the studios have air conditioning and there are laundry facilities.
Five minutes stroll takes you to either the magnificent Zaga Beach or to the vibrant harbour and waterfront where there are many tavernas and interesting shops. The village is “crowned” by the castle and monastery that both sit together above the village giving it the most beautiful silhouette.
Koroni is said to be “one of the the most picturesques sites in Greece” and ranks in the top twenty “must see” places in the Rough Guide. It lives up to its reputation in every way. This is a wonderful bustling village full of life all year round. Many, visitors come in summer but this village has life in every month and season. In Koroni, like the other little villages nearby, you will be welcomed warmly by the local people. You will eat in Tavernas where the seafood cooked for you will have been caught that very day. You will be able to choose relaxing on many beautiful and unspoilt beaches such as Zaga, Peroulia, Kombi, Kalamaki and Tsapi to name a few! Remember, Zaga beach is home to the Logga turtle because it is so clean and peaceful. When you want a change from the beach, select from a whole host of attractiuons. Historical sites, Ancient and Byzantine are found at Messini, Methoni, Koroni, Pylos, Mystras and many more.
